Drawing is an integral and crucial part of his design and ideation of his projects. This film follows his creation of one of three drawings James Wines did in a session that took place at The Drawing Center in New York, that will be part of a larger film of architects’ drawing practice. DP was Sam Henriques. Sony F5 sLog3 4K. Thanks to Brett Littman and The Drawing Center!

MAKING OF 82ND & FIFTH

Made this making-of video in animated photographs of the Met Museum web series that I produced, 82nd & Fifth, following the same principal underlying the series of 100 episodes. The Met Museum web series 82nd & Fifth was a wonderful challenge: telling 100 stories using comparative and lighting techniques, unusual angles and framing devices; at times, x-rays, black & white, field trips surveys, period backdrops, time-lapses, 360 views – enlisting 11 very different, very talented staff photographers. The result –a very cinematic web series –without using a frame of video.
